When you are booking with us we will try and advise you to select the airport that our triathlon coaches fly into - normally Geneva.  This means that we can arrange for you to be collected and returned on a minibus paid for by us.

However, it is reasonably straight forward to make your own travel arrangements to join us in La Tania.  Most La Tania visitors will use the airports at either Geneva, Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble - booking with one of the budget airlines easyjet, BMI Baby, Flybe or Ryan Air.

Airport Transfers

If you couldn't get on the same flight as one of our triathlon coaches, or a flight with similar timings, then you'll probably need a lift to La Tania.  Please pre-book with either Phil at www.snowboundtransfers.com or John at www.3vt.co.uk.  They are both experienced minibus operators and have good reputations.

By Road

Probably the best website for directions, prices, places to stop at is www.viamichelin.com. In summary, they reckon the journey from Calais is 924km and takes 8hrs 45 minutes, with toll and petrol costs amounting to £111.

We haven't attempted this trip from the UK as a family, but we know plenty that have done so with no problems.  Some guests, especially those from the south east of England have managed to drive to La tania in one day.  But others reckon its best to have an overnight stay half way and enjoy the journey and France a bit more.  Let us know if you need suggestions as to where to stay at a half way point.

By Train

The nearest train station is 30 minutes away from La Tania (Moutier Salin Brides L Bain (73)).  Eurostar operate a direct service to Moutier from London St Prancras for the ski season, but for the rest of the year, it'll mean a getting off at Paris Nord with Eurostar then taking a short trip on the Paris underground to Paris Austerlitz to get the direct connection to Moutier.

For more information try searching www.eurostar.com , www.sncf.com/indexe.htm and www.raileurope.co.uk.

By Coach

I'm afraid that I am short of information on this mode of transport for the moment. Check out www.bike-express.co.uk/med_main.html. The nearest drop off would be Lyon . Again, you could make use of the above train links, or try using the airport transfer guys. You could cycle the 200kms to La Tania! But for other coach routes you may find some decent connections with www.alpski-bus.com.
